PHI ALPHA THETA

Phi Alpha Theta is the National Honor Society in History and has the distinction of having more chapters than any other honor society.  The organization promotes the study of history through good teaching, promoting research and publication, and exchanging ideas among historians.
Phi Alpha Theta publishes a distinguished historical journal, The Historian and The News Letter.  The organization also offers several scholarships in various categories.

To become an undergraduate member of PAT you must have completed at least 12 semester hours in history with an average above a 3.0 and an overall GPA of a 3.0.  You must also rank withing the top third of your class.

Invitations will be sent to potential candidates during the spring semester.
